I recetly bought the new version of the SOny A7R IV. The model onbly came out a month ago, and was wondering if anyone else has made the same purchase and has had any problems loading photos to Lightroom?

All Adobe versions are up to date and Camera Raw is also up to date. Do I simply need to waut for an Adobe update? And if so does anyone know of any rumours as to how far away an update mught be...

Appreciate the help,

Chris

Is this a typographical error?

If you are referring to the new Sony ILCE-7RM4A, this is not yet supported by Adobe (as of today). You have to use the manufacturer's software to read the RAW photos from this camera until Adobe releases support.

To build on dj_paige's reply, the Sony A7R IV A is a different camera than the A7R IV:

https://www.dpreview.com/news/8756997638/sony-quietly-updates-the-a7r-iii-a7r-iv-with-improved-lcd-d...

(Confusing naming from Sony.) It's not on the supported list of cameras:

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

New cameras from major manufacturers usually appear in the next release of LR. LR is usually released about every two months, so we might expect a new version in the next couple of weeks.
