"Preview unavailable" for this file" after Sony A1 v2.0 Firmware Upgrade

Dear all,

I am having trouble reading my Sony A1 .ARW files after updating to firmware v2.0. Lightroom and Photoshop are unable to open the files, displaying "Preview unavailable for this file".

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Lots of chatter on the web that Sony Alpha firmware v2.0 has serious problems:

Sony has suspended downloads as of 3/29/24:

According to several threads, Sony doesn't allow you to roll back to a previous version.

In the meantime, folk who've updated to V2 and use Lightroom or Camera Raw are left standing with pants around their ankles.

Edit  - no doubt Adobe will get the blame, be asked to provide a fix. Sony will do?

Hello ,

I am having the same issue in LrC with my Sony A1 .ARW files.

it is important to mention that when I try to open them same with Lr  then the files open normally.

Do I need to make any settings in LrC?
