"Unexpected error opening catalog" (Apple Silicon)

Hello,

I'm on a macbook pro (M1 chip) and everytime I open LRC I get "Unexpected error opening catalog" message and need to reselect a catalog from a list to get it. Why does this keep happening? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. 

Any advice would be great!

The most likely scenario, in my opinion, is that your hard disk has malfunctioned and catalog file is corrupted. Find a recent backup catalog, unzip it, place the unzipped catalog file in a brand new empty folder, and then double-click on the unzipped catalog file to open it.
