I am SO INFURIATED! Half of my photos from 2021 have been deleted when I tried transferring the folder from one harddrive to the other. I actually want to cry... it had wedding photos on there!! NEVER trusting Lightroom again when transferring files...

Hello, @Misterpixie
It would be best if you explained your problem in detail in a new thread, rather than attaching your problem to a 3 year old thread that sounds slightly different. People will be happy to help you in a new thread.

Hey, @Misterpixie. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I understand this must be frustrating. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. For now, we've moved your comment from an older thread.
If you're working in Lightroom Classic, it works with catalogs. You can have multiple catalogs on the machine, and sometimes Lightroom can forget the last used catalog, resulting in an incorrect catalog being upgraded/loaded. Head here to learn more: https://adobe.ly/4prbiMG
You can list all the catalogs on your computer using Windows Search or Spotlight Search. Type in .lrcat and arrange the results by modified date to find the recent catalog you worked on before the update.
Let me know if this helps. Thanks!

It's not an issue with my catalogue. It's an issue with faulty transfer. I think next time I'll just transfer all of the files manually between hard drives and the relocate the folder location in my catalogue. When LIGHTROOM states that the transfer/actin is "complete", that doesn't mean the actual photos have been transferred correctly? Maybe there should be a warning of this 😉 that's what I would recommend. Just to help folks like me who clearly are dumb lol
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
