re-ordering photos in Collection STILL a problem

Since the latest update, I'm having issues AGAIN with reordering my photos in a collection. In previous builds, this error would come to the surface after about 30 re-orders (or a number close to that). This time, it's come to the surface after just 4 or 5 re-orders.

What are precise symptoms you observe when the problem occurs? If you see an error message, please post a full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic).

Years ago, LR used an incorrect algorithm for storing custom order, and there were very many reports of custom reordering failing:

(You were one of many reporting problems.) That problems in that thread were fixed in LR 10.1 (three years ago), with just one report after then of possible issues. I see you've posted a few times since then, but not in that thread after the 10.1 fix. I don't see any other reports since that 10.1 fix.

Hmm, interesting. It's certainly not something that I can reliably reproduce consistently. I may just chalk it up to "one of those things" that happens occasionally. I'll be on a new build later this week and will see if the glitch carries over. I'll report back if I come across it again.
