What actions in Lightroom Classic are you performing when this happens? Please be specific.

I had the same issue on my system in the develop module, working with crop and a couple
other issues/problems. Disabling the GPU did not solve the problem and I eventually reverted to LrC to 10.0.
I have not had any problems with v10.0 since.
