RTX 3050 GPU Upgrade for Faster Lightroom Denoise: Performance Boost Without PSU Upgrade?

either is a headache. i'm not feeling like diving into a new build right now so upgrade GPU is prefered for now.

I have a 500W PSU and 2 available 6 pin PCIe connectors.

I have an RTX 1650.

Lr's Denoise takes about 1-2 minutes.

I could upgrade to an RTX 3050 which is still 70W and can be powerd by the PCIe 3.0 slot.

Without making any other changes, could anybody tell me what that would do for improving Lr's Denoise times?

I have an NVidia RTX 3060 and AI Denoise works in about 10-15 seconds for 24 MP originals.

Have you made sure you have the latest driver for your GPU? Also check this article out on how to optimize your Lightroom: https://adobe.ly/4nXQ8FD

thanks.

I changed my settings in Preferences to Auto.

That dropped the Denoise Ai estimate from 1-2 minutes to 55 seconds.

That is with a 4G GTX 1650.

I'd like to know what an 8G RTX 3050 does.
