Scaling problem

When I scale Lightroom Classic shows gray and white squares around the photos instead of white. Help me please! Thank you!

This is a new change in LrC, introduced in 14.3. Nothing is wrong. That's what you are supposed to see now, checkerboard instead of white.

If you export to JPG, or you print, I am sure those areas will be sent as white.

 

It is just that they are now being distinguished from any solid white areas that may be present as part of the image.
