Self timer settings are ignored during Tethering

I am using a MacBook Pro and the most current version of Lightroom Classic. I have a Nikon D850. I am not able to tether through Lightroom Classic and retain the D850 self timer setting. It seems that Lightroom Classic ignores the camera’s self -timer setting and just takes the photo as soon as the shutter is clicked in Lightroom Classic. Is there a way to make it work correctly? I’ve tried every combination of settings I can think of and the self-timer setting just gets ignored no matter how I set it up. Hopefully you can help resolve the issue! Thank you so much.
