I am using a new web hosting service and they only support SFTP. Lightroom has an SFTP option but it will not connect to the server when I try to browse it just keeps the dialog box open and never shows the directory.
Anyone else having this issue? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated,
Using Filezilla as a test and independent second source is a great idea. I would have suggested this. But you are using two different options. I would like to ask you to to configure Filezilla as Lightroom and try then the connection.

Could I have more information, like the version of your LR, OS, a link to the service provider.
It would be also nice to learn about your configuration (with your access information blurred out...)!

Abambo,
Thanks for the reply. Here are some details you asked for
Lightroom CC Release 2015.12
I have tried this on 2 different OS's Mac with current version OS OS X 10.9.5 and a Windows 10 version 1607
The web hosting company is Spiral Hosting out of Ireland. https://www.spiralhosting.com/
I have used the same settings with Filezila and can access the FTP but I have to set it on Encryption "explicit FTP over TLS"
I appreciate any suggestions or help

I have the same bug here, in the FTP client and in the terminal the connection with SFTP to the server works, in Lightroom Classic 13.1 it does not.

You’ve posted to an ancient thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same one you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better off posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information, including system information, a complete description of the problem, and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.
If the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.
Thank you!
