Shared Album sort order

The bug related to Lightroom Classic not sharing online albums in the proper order is more than frustrating.   Please fix this.  Last time I checked the Lightroom engine was unable to sort more than 30 photos in an album in custom mode, and there is really no definitive way that is trained on how to see photos sorted a certain way and ensure they are displayed that was on the shared album link.   This is more important than any AI you are working on, so please hop to it.  Get this fixed.

Seems like it *MIGHT* work if you select a sort order in Lightroom.  Then move one photo, then move it back where it was.  Then maybe cross your fingers and hope no one is viewing the online album share while you do this??   I dunno.   It seemed to work for 80% of the photos, but still have a bunch out of order and randomly in the wrong places.

As far as I know, the current custom ordering is working as intended....certainly I haven't noticed any issues lately.

However, by far the most reliable method of getting the exact custom order that you want your shared album to be displayed in would be to use the "Display" tab of the LrWeb app in a browser window. Shared albums are always displayed in the set custom order, and that order can be set in any of the Lightroom apps (Lightroom desktop, Lightroom mobile, Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Web) and is then supposed to sync via the cloud so that the shared album is displayed in the correct order. If there are issues syncing custom order changes to the cloud, setting the order directly in that Display tab of LrWeb is the best option.

Another advantage of using the LrWeb app is that you can also easily reset the custom order to one of the standard orders such as Capture Time, File Name, Star Rating, etc.).

The "Display" tab icon is on the bottom left of the grid when you have selected the target album from the album list after you open the LrWeb app (by logging in using your Adobe ID at lightroom.adobe.com), in the Red box in this screenshot:

Once in that Display mode you can simply change the custom order by standard drag and drop. Note also the floating panel in the Blue box in my screenshot. Click on the up arrow at the right and the panel expands to show further options, as per this screenshot:

The button highlighted in the Blue box is where you can choose to reset the custom order, click on the down arrow to see all the options. Note that resetting the Custom Order here will also sync the change to all your other Lightroom apps.

Any changes you make to the display order will only be seen in the shared album by viewers when they load/reload the page in their browser.

This problem still exists.   Custom sort order needs to be looked at.
