v13.0.1 on Windows 11
Not sure if this is related but I have an HDR monitor but don't process my images with HDR switched on. Since I upgraded, my images in Loupe and Grid view look flat and washed out. When editing in the Develop module they look fine.
How can I fix this? Is there a setting somewhere? I've spent a long time looking but can't find it.
Interesting that you have not replied back if you ran your monitor calibration over again. Did you try that??
Oh, and for the monitor, HDR on//off will matter during calibration. You would need separate calibrations.

Sounds like you may have a problem with your monitor profile, but being a Mac user myself, I'll leave this for a Windows expert to follow up.

I have this same problem. The images are totally washed out when viewing grid and loupe. But they look fine in Develop! I noticed now that I just switched to a new HDR display (the old display I switched from was also HDR, though).

Update: I went through the Windows HDR Calibration app, and the grid and loupe do look much better now, however, they still look washed out compared to Develop.

Interesting that no-one has come up with a solution to this after several weeks of posting this issue.

You said you did not activate HDR editing in Lightroom, but did you perhaps turn on the HDR feature of the display?

Yes HDR has been switched on the display since I got the monitor. No problems until I "upgraded" Lightroom.

Try switching it off. Now that Lightroom Classic has HDR editing, maybe it deals differently with a monitor that has HDR switched on. HDR is not supported in the Library module. You should also check your monitor profile, like I suggested before. That profile will most likely be for SDR only.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it worked fine before. I tried your suggestion and it does look different to when HDR is switched on, but Loupe mode still looks low contrast and washed out. 😟

I guess I was skeptical about that, and just recalibrated and it's now fine. Thanks!
