Slideshow music broken

When creating a longer slideshow in Lightroom Classic, I encounter the following problem:

I add my selected music, which is a mix about 30 minutes long.
However, after what seems like a random amount of time,
the music gets interrupted and jumps back to the beginning of the mix.

I am having the same problem.  I have tried different music and different lenghts of music and slides but to no avail. I also find Lightroom gets the track time wrong and i end up with silence at the end of the slideshow or the music gets cut off too early.  These probles have only occurred in the last few weeks - possibly after the last upgrade?

I am having the same issue. The music file plays for about 8 minutes, jumps back to the start, plays again and then continues where it left off. It then ends at the end of the music file time, but doesn't play the last 8 or so minutes (as those minutes were used in the repeat).

Hi - I have tried disabling the GPU and removing the Video cache limit after purging the cache and the other cache then restarting LR - I have had more success with the odd render jumping back but repeating the cache purge and restarting LR seems the rectify the problem - untill the next time anyway.

This solution sort of works - it seems to work OK for 2 or three renders, mostly, than goes back to restarting the track at a seemingly random point.  This can be cured by the above and rebooting the PC.  However, I had one that refused to render properly, no matter what - the music stopping and starting again about 8 minutes in every time. I tried importing the track into Audacity and re-exporting it as a new track - this worked up to a point but the last few seconds of the track were truncated.

Hello,

Just to make sure, have you used the 'Fit to Music' button and selected the 'Manual' option?

Don't select 'Sync Slides to Music' option - leave it unchecked.

Hi - do you mean apply "fit to music" to get the slide length right and then re-select Manual?

By @MadDrongo

Sorry, it's the Automatic option to get the 'Fit to Music' . The 'Automatic' button isn't highlighted.

The 'Fit to Music' option automatically determines the slide length depending on the length of the music. 'Crossfades' also makes a difference, so if you alter any parameters, make sure you reselect the 'Fit to Music'.

I have the same problem with the music in the presentation: I choose the mp3 file and choose the length of the slides and fades, then export the video, but I find that after about a minute of playback the music stops and starts again from the beginning. Then everything continues normally. The problem returns the same with different slideshows and with different music tracks. This is an example: https://youtu.be/PY3msvlLh4s
