Please provide details. Please provide the exact word-for-word unedited error message.
Also please tell us exactly, specifically and in detail, what actions in the edit module are slow.

The error message that appears says "Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of the Creative cloud from 'http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp" Then it gives two boxes. Repair or Quit.
I do the frequent updates from the creative cloud, but I still get the error message.

It sounds like your Adobe Creative CLoud Desktop App is either corrupt or malfunctioning.
