So, I work with Lightroom with two different PCs each with their own Catalogue and sometimes I upload photos via one PC and then create a sync folder in the cloud with some of them. Lately the sync catalogue is quite a mess with some photos being wrongly displayed. What I mean is I have some photos with the same name and shot in diferent dates (e.g. IMG_0123) which are being wrongly displayed and in the wrong folder not corresponding with the actual image taken.
Plus, LR Classic never quite finishes syncing despite ot finding any sync errors when I access Lightroom in the web.
Any ideas how to solve this?
Thank you

Hey @franciscomnunes,
Thanks for sharing the details! Could you confirm whether you're using Lightroom (cloud-based) or Lightroom Classic? I’m not sure syncing two catalogs between two computers is an intended or supported workflow, so clarifying that will help us better understand what might be happening.
Have you noticed any differences or issues specifically in the Lightroom (cloud-based) app?
I’m moving your post from the Bugs section to Discussions for now so we can gather more information and hopefully get additional visibility from others who might have experienced something similar.
Would you mind sharing your System Info for the versions that are experiencing the issue? You can find it under Help > System Info. Just copy and paste the full details into a text file and attach it to your response.
Thanks,
^CM

Hi CM,
Thank you for your swift answer.
I'm using Lr Classic. I have a All-in-One and a laptop and this workflow permited me to import photos in the desktop and edit them in the laptop after syncing to the cloud and for a long time it worked perfectly till the recent issues with phtos with the same name.
I can't share the desktop system info now so I'll share the laptop version.
My Laptop Lr Classic and Lr (cloud-based) are now synced but some photos with the same name are messed in both.
I'm sharing some print screens to better understand what I meant:
I normally import photos in one PC and then create sync folders in the cloud.
In this case we can see IMG_8785 isn't displaying correctly (Lr Classis print screen). The name and date are correct for that collection (Paris) but the image shown is from other picture taken later that should be in another folder (Sevilla & Granada). In the Lr Cloud based print screen we can see IMG_8785 is missing from the collection and the the image displayed as IMG_8785 in Paris collecction should have the date of 02.02.2024. In Lr Classic filmdtrip we can see it happens with more than one image.
So I'm guessing somewhere along the cloud syncing Lr messed up photo filenames and dates and is now displaying photos to a filename that wasn't taken on that date and assigning other's dates to some files. So is basically a mess.
All of this photos is on a external disk in my desktop so I will later try to sync the Desktop catalogue and see how it goes (and share the system info too).
I tried to rebuild Sync Data in Lr Classic (laptop) but it is now messed up in the Cloud as well so what I have in the cloud version is what I see in Lr Classic.
Thank you
