I have downloaded the recent version of Lightroom Classic, uninstalled/reinstalled the program multiple times.. Yet im still having issues with syncing images in the develop module. Has anyone else had this issue? Whenever I go to sync even just two images the program freezes.

SYNC can mean different processes. SYNC to Cloud? SYNC settings? etc.

So what are you SYNCING? How? Be specific.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

That would be v457.51. Latest is v466.63. Consider updating that.

Just a thought are you syncing settings to like images i.e. raw images or rendered images e.g. jpeg, tiff etc?

Some precepts may contain things that may be applicable only raw images?

Yes.

  • In the Develop module, click the Sync button or choose Settings > Sync Settings. Select the settings to copy and click Synchronize.

That's what is giving me the issue. When I click the sync button, Lightroom will freeze and I have to force shut down. The dialog box wont even come up, as well.

So your GPU driver is v517.48

At NVIDIA the Studio driver is currently v517.40, so it does not appear you are using that one. The Game Ready driver is v522.25. Hence, you appear to not have the latest driver (Game Ready option). Note that Game Ready are usually updated before Studio, Studio are more stable and tested, and meant for graphics users as opposed to gamers. Normally for LrC, members recommend the Studio option, but does the newer Game Ready one fix your issue?

Wondering if the preference file is corrupt.

Have you tried resetting the preference file?

see:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

The preference file can get corrupted leading to buggy behavior. A corrupt preference file will survive uninstalls, updates, and upgrades. By renaming or moving or deleting the preference file you create a situation where LrC will recreate a fresh new one upon startup of LrC. Be aware various settings will revert to defaults.
