Using the latest version of LR on a PC.  When syncing a specific folder, LR always indicates there are five images to be synced, in addition to any images I know I have added to the folder.  If I sync this folder without adding any images LR still insists there are five images to be synced.  Should I maybe move all my images from this folder to a new folder, remove the "problem" folder and see how LR behaves when syncing the new folder?

This sounds like maybe this is the 'capitalization error'. Follow the instructions in this link to see if that solves the issue: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/capitalization-catalog-error/
