When I first purchased two 70-200 Tamron G2 lenses - they were being detected by LR. This was January 2021. Clicking on "Enable Profile Corrections" would automatically know which lens it is.
A couple months ago, I've noticed that none of the photos taken on that lens could be profile-corrected. The only way to apply the profile, is to pick Tamron > Pick the G2 lens.

I figured this one out. I think what happened - is a newer version of LR added several lens variants, so LR was no longer sure which specific variant my photos are from. I had to pick my variant, then "Save as Default" and it works.
