I’m a teacher and I’ve used Adobe CC via school account. Now my employment is ending, and I want to buy personal Photography version. What is the procedure? I must do so that I can continue to work with my photos.  I mainly use Lightroom Classic and I have all the images in one catalog. If I remove all Adobe CC programs (school account) from the desktop, buy and install the personal version of Photography (includes Lightroom Classic and Photoshop) on the desktop, I can just simply open that catalog and the images are exactly as they were the last time I edited images with that school version. Is that how it goes?

Hi @Trisal this page walks you through how to migrate from a student/teacher account to a personal Adobe account:

Hello
The protocol in the link, which is used to switch accounts, seems a bit tricky and there is a possibility of making irreversible mistakes. I don't have any special portfolio or pictures on school equipment. I've only used Lightroom Classic on my school account, and my question is really just that if I buy the rights to Lightroom and Photoshop that come with my Personal Photography membership, can I simply open the *.lrcat catalog that I've been using on my school account and have it available on my own account the photos contained in that catalog.
