Test catalog and test plugin

I'm going to experiment/trying to use Lightroom plugin-prefs, and I don't want to pollute my working Catalog/plugin.

So if i'm using a test catalog and test plugin, and delete everything afterwards there will be no trace of those prefs, if switch back to my working catalog ?

Silly question perhaps, but I have no idea where those will be stored.

Plugin preferences are stored in the LR preferences file, which is shared across all catalogs. You can save a copy of the preferences file before you start testing and then restore it when you are done. See this article for details:
