Tether Speed in Lightroom Classic - Nikon Z6

Tether speed in Lightroom Classic is around 4-6s per shot. In CaptureOne and SmartShooter4 it's half that so way better.

Anyone know why Lightroom is so slow and if there's any way to speed it up?

Using latest versions of everything, new USB-C cable direct to a brand new MacBook Air M1 (I know tethering reloads to the non-M1 version of Lightroom).

Thanks.

Just updated - no change.

Suspect it's because tethering still requires Lightroom running via Rosetta. Though I think the M1 aspect is irrelevant. If Adobe release an M1 enabled tethering version of Lightroom and it speeds up, that's great for those with M1 Macs, but for the majority without M1, it's still not as good as competitors.

So it's still 4-6s tethering in Lightroom, and 2-3s in other apps.
