Tethering a D810

Community Beginner ,
Aug 30, 2024 Aug 30, 2024

Trying to tether a D810 to a Mac / Lightroom, but LR simply refuses to detect the camera. Nikon firmware and Lightroom Classic both up to date, the Mac is running Monterey 12.6.2. Tethering works just as it should with my D850, but I like to use the D810 for copy work. I'm also using a new TetherPro USB-C cable. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of setup?

Thanks,

Alex

You have opened the wrong catalog file. Find the current catalog file by using Mac Finder to search all folders for files whose name ends with .LRCAT (might be lower case) and then the one you want if likely the one that is the largest. Anyway, double-click on it to open it in LrC.

Well, then, try deleting the preference file.

Tried that, and it's returned my catalogue to a version dating from 2013, so now I'm trying to sort out that . . .

Thanks, that fixed it - and the tethering problem appears to be fixed too!

Cheers, Alex
