Can I tether my Cannon EOS R to my laptop pc for the purpose of viewing video while recording as well as playing back between takes?  I was told I should be able to do this with Lightroom Classic but can't seem to figure it out.  Is there another way?  Help!  Thanks in advance!!

You can tether the EOS R to Lightroom-Classic, but only for the transfer of images. Not Live View.

This is the limited list of cameras that support Live-View:

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.
