Tethering Canon 1Dx mark ii to Mac OS Big Sur

I've never used my thethering cable to connect my Canon 1Dx Mark ii to my Mac Book Pro laptop. I only just upgraded my laptop to Big Sur last week and now when I'm trying to figure out how to have my photos off my camera show up in Lightroom I'm hitting a brick wall. I'm searching on google and not finding the answer. Sometimes people who've had the same issue post or know the answer & that's what I'm hoping for here. I've already wasted a few hours trying to figure this out. Surely a Canon 1Dx mark ii can be tethered to light room using OS big sur? If anyone can maybe help thank You

Please state what version NUMBER of Lightroom Classic you are using. Do not use words like "latest" or "up-to-date", we need the version NUMBER.
