Currently experiencing issues trying to tether into Lightroom.
Has worked correctly in the past, can't pin down any changes that have occured to cause the issue.
Camera is a Canon EOS R, MAC OS 11.6, and lightroom is up to date.
Initially when starting the tethered session, the prompt box will open for naming and save locations, but no tether session will start after clicking through (no pop-up that usually shows the camera controls)
Lightroom recognises the camera for importing images, and Capture One allows tethering, so i know the cable is not the issue, i have tried both the original cable that came with the camera, as well as a tethertools cable.
Any help would be appreciated.

"lightroom is up to date"
Double-check by doing Help > System Info and verifying you have LR 10.4 installed. Many people initially report they've got "the latest" but then discover they don't.
Once you've verified that, see if these troubleshooting steps help:

Thanks for taking the time John,
Running through the troubleshooting once more seems to have fixed the issues after deleting the lightroom preferences file and restarting Lightroom.

Glad you got it working again. It's most unfortunate that Adobe has never fixed its flawed implementation of preferences -- so many problems are corrected by resetting them.
