I'm importing from files dropped onto a folder in My Pictures on WIN 10 64bit. On import it's been getting stuck and the LRC stops responding. I'ts been like this for 3 days now never had a problem before going on several years now using without a glitch.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please share the version of Lightroom (Help > About Lightroom) and the version of Windows on your computer? Does this happen with specific file formats or all files? How are you Importing the images?

The first thing you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps fix the issue.

  • Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

  • Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

Don't forget to keep a backup before resetting the software.

Do you get an error message? If yes, please post the exact message or a screenshot.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!
