I'm not sure exactly when it quit working but the latest upgrade would be a good bet because I've used the functionality recently. All it shows is a black and gray map of the world with white dots and the error box Unable to connect to Adobe servers. Map module will not work. I tried going back to library, closing and reopening. Didn't change.

Does it work now? There have been reports that waiting for hours or even days and the problem sometimes fixes itself (likely a server-side issue).

Yes, it's back. I just copied the GPS from other images with the same location when it wasn't working.

Thanks for the update.  It's unfortunate that the Map module can be flaky sometimes.

I don't see an actual answer to the question--only the reply by johnrellis on Aug 31: "Does it work now? There have been reports that waiting for hours or even days and the problem sometimes fixes itself (likely a server-side issue)." What is causing the problem and what is the solution?

Thanks for any help with this. Dennis Stovall  (removed for privacy)

I am experiencing this issue right now (it's been a problem for at least three days).

Thoughts? Solutions?

@Ohio Gardener, what precisely do you see when you go to the Map module? A grey background, any error messages?

I intended to post a screenshot today, but now it's working.

It was a black-and-white map of the world and the error message was essentially the same as the subject line of this whole post.

But as I said, it's working again!

Thanks.

Glad it's working again. As my first post up top says, Map problems often go away in hours or days.

It's frustrating that the Map module is flaky -- the underlying problem may be a Google issue or it may be an Adobe issue. If it is a Google issue, it would be better if LR gave more perspicuous error messages giving details. But Adobe hasn't paid much attention to the Map module for years.
