Unable to Post Selected Photos to LRC Map as of 12-14-2023

Following updated to LRC and Camera Raw on 12-14-2023, I find i'm unable to post selected photos to the Map Module.  Normally, I make the selection and right click on the correct location on the Map to add the images to the Map.  Is this a bug related to the updates or is the Map Module down for routine maintenance? The OS is Windows 10 Pro on a Dell XPS One 2710 AIO.  I posted to the Map Module without any problem just a few days back.  Thanks for any info or advice.

Often these symptoms are caused by exiting LR when in the Map module. Issues occur more often on Windows than on Mac, but it just happened to me on Mac twice out of about a dozen restarts.

So try this: Start LR, go to Library, exit LR, start LR, go to Map.

10 Minutes after posting the above message, the Map Module began to function again. Problem may have resolved itself.

Today I was unable to drag a photo from the filmstrip and drop in on the map after udating to Lightroom Classic version: 13.1 on a Mac Mini M2 chip running  Mac OS 14.2.0.

Right clicking on the map and choosing "Add GPS Coordinates to Selected Photos" doesnt result in any GPS coordinates being added the the photo meta data field or any change in how the map appeared (I was expecting to see the marker indicating where a photo was taken.)

I quit LrC without the catalog being optimized or backed up becausee that was done just prior to updating to LrC 13.1.

Now when LrC restarted, the world map was initially shown and then once all the thumbnails in the filmstrip were loaded the map switched to an empty gray area (attached screenshot) and has remained as such after at least 20 min and despite opening up the Library, Develop, or Book modules and returning to the Map module. Changing the Map style form Hybrid to anoy of the other versions also has no effect. The Map area remains as a blank gray area. All functions tried so far in the Library and Develop modules seem to work fine.

Is this a LrC 13.1 bug? Is it related to Mac Sonoma 14.2 and LrC losing the function of importing directly from drives or cards?

What can I try to further explore and/or get back the map fucntion?

John,

That must have been it because I exited LrC last night after doing work in the Library module then reopened it today to again work in the Library module and now I just checked the Map module: it's working. I can see the map and was able to drag and drop an image onto it. Interesting bug that it gets stuck in a non-fucnctioning Map module loop.

Thank you for the help.
