I have a couple of old Sigma lenses which Lightroom doesn't know, so in the metadata I get 'Unknown lens'.
I found an article online about using ExifTool / ExifToolGui / FullMetaExport to create a plugin and writing a script to correct the Lens, LensType and LensModel in the metadata.
Whilst ExifTool & ExifToolGui are still around, FullMetaExport isn't.
So any suggestions for how to fix the metadata, preferably not by editing it for each photo separately?
I'm using a Windows PC and my Lightroom is up-to-date.

I've linked to a plugin that should help with adding the lens data https://www.lenstagger.com/#primary and tutorial https://www.lenstagger.com/documentation/how-to-use-lenstagger/

Having installation problems.
I'm using the instructions from: https://www.lenstagger.com/documentation/how-to-install-lenstagger/
I've downloaded & extracted (1), started Lightroom & the plugin manager (2, 3), and followed the steps so I can Add the plugin (4, 5).
However the Plugin won't load. It has a red 'blob' and the Status is 'This plugin is malfunctioning and can not be used.'
I turned on 'Save diagnostic to file', reloaded the plugin and optned the file. This is the error:
An error occurred while attempting to load this plug-in.
The plug-in description script (Info.lua) is missing.
So no idea what the problem is.

Argh can't see how to edit my reply!
To add, Exiftool is installed, exiftool.exe is in C:\Windows\System32, and I restarted after copying it there.

I reported it then on closer inspection found the problem. Now I just have to work out how to use it!
