updatig to classic 15

Hi I've been attempting to update lightroom classic to version 15 and its become stuck with the following messge showing "updating meta dataon filters removal tool" . Can any one help please?

Hey, @pudseybill. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic. I'll need more information to help you. 

Where is your Lightroom Catalog stored? Internal drive, or an external drive? Have you tried a recent backup work? 

Try to duplicate your catalog into a new catalog and check how it goes. 

1 - Create a new catalog by holding the ALT key at the launch of Lightroom Classic.

2 - Go to File > Import from catalog > target your old catalog. Proceed with updating &  merging the previous catalog into the newly made, internal storage-based catalog. For more help via video-based steps, check here. See https://adobe.ly/3NTC9Rv

Hi Sameer

Thanks for getting back to me.  It's been quite a nightmare as I thought that I had lost some 15 years of work! I have now uninstalled the new 15 version of lightroom classic and reinstalled the old version and connected to a back up version. For now I'm just recovering . I will attempt to install the newer version in the future when things have settled down, as for now, I just can't spend any more time on this issue.
