Latest update of LRC
When opening LRC I get a user permision issue dialogue.
Options are to let LRC fix or close.
LRC can not fix.
I removed and reinstalled LRC to no avail.
Any help is appreciated.

Outside of LrC, on the MAC, bring up Security & Privacy, select privacy, scroll down to Files and Folders. Are all volumes checked?

By the way, many members absolutly refuse to open attachments. It is a trust issue. Instead of attaching images such as screenshots, please use the Insert Photo button.
Somewhat out of date screenshot on that, below:

Sorry, was not clear, I was referring to a screenshot of the dialogue you mentioned above.
might be a one time dialog, a security alert, answer wrong, and Files and Folders is wrong.

Thanks for all your help it is appreciated.
Had tried most of the suggestions on that page but no help.
Just went back to it and used "Use a Script" which I was avoiding.
It worked!!
Thanks again

Hi there. i am encountering the same issues. Can you kindly explain how you "used a script." It might help me solve my problem as well.
Thank you both for your inputs. Much appreciated.

I have the identical issue, which only started on upgrade to Big Sur 11.5.2. Hopefully Adobe are working to fix this in a later release?? Meanwhile I have tried the solutions including running the script and nothing works. Any more suggestions please? Fortunately this is an irritant on startup rather than preventing me using Ligthroom Classic! The Learn More link takes me to a 404 Error page saying 'these are uncharted wtaers' which isnt very helpful! Thanks for any ideas

I had this same problem with new M1 based Macbook. I too did the manual route which did NOT work. But running the script DID!!! See "Use a script to restore permissions" here: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-basic-troubleshooting-fix-most-issues.html#Tr...
