Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Lightroom & Camera Raw. Would you mind telling us which version of Lightroom & Camera Raw are you working on along with the version of Windows youre running on the computer? Did you start experiencing this issue after an update to the apps or to Windows? Are you using a calibrated monitor?

You can try disabling the option to Use Graphics Processor from Lightroom by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, relaunch Lightroom to check if that helps.

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2JSym5e

Please backup your presets prior to resetting the preferences.

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj

"My photos open darker than they really are, I've tried disabling smart views, but it didn't work." Sorry that this response is in English. As @nikunj.m asked, what is your configuration.

In addition, I'd like to confirm what you are viewing your photo's in to identify they are darker in LrC. If you are viewing them outside of LrC from an OS based viewer, it is possible you are looking at the embedded JPG preview which would have already gone through post processing in the camera.

My question is how are you doing the comparison to know they are darker in LrC?

"I open the jpg in lrc and at the same time in windows viewer" Sorry, I still have confusion.

If you are opening the same JPG in LrC and a Windows Viewer the issue could be cause because most OS Windows viewers are not colour managed.

Since you mentioned Camera Raw, I assume at some point in this process you are looking at a RAW file. If you look at the JPG of the RAW file in LrC but then look at the RAW file in a Windows Viewer the same issue could occur since the Windows Viewer would be showing you the non colour managed JPG embedded in the RAW file.

As a test, try AUTO TONES  in the DEVELOP module on  the the RAW FILE and see if it is still darker. Remember a RAW file is not an image but a recording of the sensor data.
