Hello,
Some important questions to Lighroom experts:
- What is the most powerful nVidia GPU?
- how many RAM on the graphics card?
- what do you think about HBM (amd) / HBM2 (nvidia) graphics memory?

So to summarize - what graphics card for Ligroom in 07.2017?

I greet all

Thank you for your answer. However, I am looking for the optimal configuration on 07.2017 to get the best possible performance in Adobe Lightroom. Hence my question about the most powerful graphics card for the 1920x1200 monitor. I also look for the most powerful processor on 07.2017. Do you know how it is with multi-core processors? Does applying 8 cores (16 threads) instead of 4 cores (8 threads) significantly improve your computer's performance when working with Adobe Lightroo

Hi trshaner

Well it turns out it was not the card that was a problem. I did change it tho and noticed little improvement so I went back to Adobe support and after few tests it turns out that there was a problem with my windows user account on the permission level. We have set the dummy account, installed lightroom and this worked. So I have migrated everything over and it`s all ok now.

Thanks again for all the advice

thanks for reporting back with your results and final solution. Again, this is most likely due to Windows 10 updates, which some have reported indiscriminately change user permissions. This used to only happen on OS X systems, but it appears MS is trying to "dumb-down" Windows 10 in an attempt to improve the user "experience."

Anyhow you should see better performance with a newer graphics card like the GeForce 1050 series.
