When creating a new develop preset, it would be nice to be able to save only a certain develop group

When creating a new develop preset, it would be nice to have a button that says "only Basic" or "only effect" instead of having to check and uncheck every box to narrow or expand the selection of settings for the new preset. The issue comes when making multiple presets with different parameters and I then have to remember which develop sections were selected before I last unchecked.

If I could make a presets, check a box that says only basic or basic and detail, without it actually unselecting those items within those subsections, it would be helpful. Having to recall and then recheck or uncheck every time you make a preset with different parameters can be discourging.

Check None and Check All are too extreme to use practically given the nuance of presets.

I don't understand. Checking the Basic box (or Detail, Lens Corrections, Effects, etc.) automatically checks all the options within that section (though you still have the option to turn off any of the sub-options). Unchecking the box will uncheck all the options. So if you want a preset that only includes the Basic and Detail options, it's three clicks: "Check None", "Basic", "Detail".

I see zero practical difference between a preset where a button had been pressed "Only Basic", and a preset where the only checkboxes which happened to be selected, were ones within the Basic adjustments group.

In terms of remembering and tracking which presets had to do with Basic panel adjustments, and which had to do with Effects or Detail or whatever panel adjustments, I guess preset groups (folders) could manage this aspect. But that would be soon complicated by adjustments from more than one Develop panel being checked within the same preset.
