White info box on image?

I currenlty use LR6.  Recently a white box containing image and camera information has appeared over the top half of the photo and I am not able to remove it.  Any advice would be helpful please.

This is a known issue when using LR6 on an unsupported Mac OS.

The white box is the Info overlay that is supposed to display white text on a transparent background.

You can hide it by pressing the I key on your keyboard once or twice.
