Windows 7 - We can't verify your subscription status

I'm trying to use LRC for the first time. These are the steps I've taken so far:

  • Downloaded program
  • Got stuck on 99.2% installation
  • Restarted computer
  • Was able to open program (so it appears to have installed correctly)
  • Got "We can't verify your subscription status" error message
  • Closed & restared CC
  • Signed out/signed in to CC
  • Tried turning off synched clock as per another thread
  • Checked for credentials (there don't appear to be any)
  • Completely cleaned off this install of CC & LRC, reinstalled
  • Again, got stuck at 99.2%
  • Opened LRC, got "We can't verify your subscription status"
  • Tore some hair out
  • Posted this

Adobe no longer supports TLS 1.0 and 1.1. Please check your system that you're enabled the Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 protocol.

If you're using Win 7 please upgrade your OS and install the MS Easy Fix. 

Update to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as default secure protocols in WinHTTP in Windows (microsoft.co...

 

Also upgrade your browsers to enable TLS 1.2 connections.
