Lightroom classic - unable to custom reorder collections

At present collections can only be arranged by name or by kind (as far as I understand). I would find it useful to be able to reorder these however suits so most used collections are at the top and others lower down.

Long term or short term? Long term, add number with leading zeros as first part of collection name.

Another way to get to your most-used collections: Use a little-known feature of LR to mark those collections as favorites, and use the sources menu in the filmstrip to get to the favorites:
