P: Ability to create "smart" Collection Sets in Lightroom Classic

With Smart Collection Sets, This is how I would expect to work:

Create a Smart Collection Set under Collections Panel, 

Now if we create a Collection within the panel and add a bunch of photos to it,
Any Smart Collections created within the Smart Collection Set should consider photos within the collection set to apply the rules. 

The current Workaround is to create a Collection Set, Create an Album with a specific unique name or the same as the collection set. Create a Smart collection with one of the criteria to choose photos only from the above-created collection within the collection set. 

This will make the workflow even smoother in terms of organizing and managing collections. 

This will basically help manage a project being worked on as a smart collection set under collections.

I'm not sure I understand the logic and why this would be smoother. You would still have to create a collection, and place that in the smart set. That is essentially the same as the current solution, where you define the collection as criterion in the smart collection(s). So apart from saving you to have to add that one extra line to the smart collection(s), how is this going to change your workflow?

The basic idea is to restrict the scope of the smart collections to a set of photos rather than have it filter from all photos from the catalogue. It would basically limit the scope of the search within the smart collection set Automatically (Which can be called anything) without the need of adding this as criteria manually.

Under a Smart Collection Set, one-time addition of photos would be needed as a collection, and then the smart collections created under this group will only refer to the photos for the creation of further smart albums... So available methods for photo organization would be

• Create Collection
• Create Smart Collection
• Create Collection Sets
• ** Create Smart Collection Set - Under this, it should allow Create Collection or Create Smart Collection... the Smart collection will refer to the photos added to collections inside the Smart Collection set. Creation of smart collections set or collection set will not be allowed inside this one.

Like I said; I do not see how this makes for a smoother workflow except that it saves you to have to add a line to the smart collection to restrict it to a set of photos.
