P: Eliminate white borders/frames on selected images in Lights-out mode

What.

Have a true  lights out  dim mode .  ie . without adding bright  “distracting”  white frames.

or at least the option too choose 🙂

Why

-diming the ligts or black colur arond the image allows to see the colours better.

by contrast the thing that stands out most is the added white frame !!

-being able to sort through image slides  in the library  module   on dark mode

without distractions ,

as probably was intended

-when editing a photo  in the develop mode . the backgound is black and there is no white frame around it .

this is perfect 🙌🏼  why can this not be the case in library mode

-White ‘dim mode . shows no border.  I findi it so much better \ however  the  white screen background

screen is murder to the eyes

/side note . maybe the reason for the border is to know where image ends .

I find that you can always toggle between modes.

and .  if gevn the choice as in white wode would be ideal  !!

cheers .

I support this. It's distracting and it looks amateur.

2 years later, I still support this 100%.  I'm working on images where I need to refine my crop against a dark grey background, I've been missing dark edges where the set ends. It's impossible against a light tone so I need dark grey to the edge. There are other ways to view as a workaround but why should we have to?
