P: Export Preview for Social Media

I think it would be nice if the soft proofing feature not only did print but did digital social media proofing as well. I know many photographers use different export tricks to try to limit instagram compression or sharpining or cutting down the resolution. It seems like it would be nice to 'see' how it would look while editing to make the most of sharing it to socials.

A valid request in itself, but that's not soft proofing as that term is normally understood. Soft proofing is to check for gamut clipping when going to a smaller/different color space. The only soft proofing relevant for social media is sRGB - but with a standard gamut monitor that's moot. You already see sRGB.

 

With that out of the way, what you're asking for is an Export preview, similar to Photoshop's Export or Save For Web modules. That could be useful, I agree with that.
