The vast majority of lens profiles are for raw files only.

Jpgs from a camera nearly always have lens correction applied by the camera.

There are some cameras that can shoot tiff, but I don't know how they handle lens corrections.

If your tiffs have been exported from raw files, you should do the lens corrections on the raw files, and they will be applied to the tiff files.

To build on Per's reply, if you know that no lens correction has been previously applied by the camera, Lightroom, or another app to the TIFF (i.e. that the TIFF's pixels correspond to the raw's pixels), you can edit the raw lens profile to also apply to non-raws:

and you should get the same result as applying it to the raw.
