Description:
I would love to see a feature in Lightroom Classic that allows users to view one photo in a grid layout with different presets applied. Additionally, users can save specific groupings of presets to view on one photo in grid mode. Here’s how I envision it working:
- Preset Grid View: The selected photo appears in multiple grid cells, each showcasing a different preset. Users can instantly compare how various presets look side-by-side.
- Custom Preset Groups: Users can create and save groups of presets to apply in the grid view. These preset groups can be customized for specific editing styles, workflows, or client preferences.
- Save and Export Grid: Users can save the grid view as a preset comparison for future edits
Why It’s Useful:
This feature significantly enhances the preset selection process for photographers and editors. The ability to save preset groups means users don’t need to search for specific presets repeatedly, improving speed and organization. It’s a perfect way to present different stylistic options all in one view at the same time.
Optional Extensions:
- Allow users to save preset grids as templates for use across multiple projects.
- Enable batch grid comparisons for multiple photos simultaneously.
- Add quick toggles to apply all presets in a group with one click.
