The new AI-powered masking features include the ability to detect faces in photos. This works much, much better than the face detection system that's used for organization. It would be amazing if the face detection system for organization was updated to use the new AI face detection system.
Very often, Lightroom Classic will fail to find faces in photos, even if they're pretty obvious, but particularly in profile view or when the lighting is odd. However, in most cases I've checked, the new masking feature has no touble finding the face.
I make extensive use of face-based organization of my photos, and I would _love_ to no longer have to manually tag all the photos that clearly Lightroom is capable of detecting faces in!
