Jax73,Good evening.

Lightroom Classic system requirements

I think this help document will be helpful.
I think that it works satisfactorily if VRAM is 4GB or more.
If you have the budget, the VRAM 8GB model will work better.

Hi Jax73, it really depends on the resolution of your photos. If you shoot Nikon with 40 Megapixels, I'd definitely consider it.

If you're looking to edit in Premiere Pro at all, I'd go for the 8GB, but know that Adobe hasn't released an update yet to support this graphics card. I'm sure it's in the works, but they've taken longer than usual.

Premiere Pro does not support either card yet: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html#gpu-acceleration

They will, Adobe is just being slow.

Here is authoritative information from a system builder on Lightroom: https://www.pugetsystems.com/recommended/Recommended-Systems-for-Adobe-Lightroom-Classic-141/Hardwar...

If you have 32GB of main RAM, it will run comfortably well enough.
(You can understand it if you see the help that was introduced earlier.)
Rather, video products such as Premiere Pro may require 32GB of RAM.

You're going to forgo buying a more capible product that is more reliabile, more repairable, and less money because it has some RGB LEDs. Sure. Good luck with that. Go for it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm on your side 🙂

I've always worked on Windows machines when possible, and I have always built my own workstations. But I also had problems with the gamers' aesthetics the whole time. It's the hardest thing to find a good computer case that doesn't look like the Batmobile.

I feel there's a whole untapped market segment out there: Windows for...well, just people who want a good reliable high performance workhorse, that looks like it's doing what it's doing. Not saving the world from evil dragons or something.

I have made one concession, though: I bought a good gamer's mouse, both for my home and work machines. They're precise, fast and configurable, and above all, wired.

Have you looked at the Blade 15? It's the most business centric pc laptop available at the moment in terms of streamlined clean aesthetics, looks better than a Macbook pro.

As long as it's got an aluminum frame (yes this is the one thing Apple does right), I can turn the LEDs off, and they don't cause any coil whine, I don't mind gamer branding.

The commodity pricing is unbeatable.

Totally agree about the Batmobile thing though lol

If all you are doing is Lightroom and Photoshop, you won't notice any real difference between these three cards. 32 gigs of RAM is a smart choice.
