Can't edit displayed image after import (Macbook Pro)

Almost everytime I import a card I end up having to quit and reopen lightroom, the reason is the image I am editing in "develop" isn't showing any changes being made. The thumbnail is displaying the images at the botton, but the main image isn't. I just did an update in hopes that would be fixed, but it is still an issue. Seriously slowing my workflow....seriously may be an overstatement , but still annoying. HELP!?!?!

Are you saying that the loupe view in develop module is blank?

Try turning off use GPU

/preferences/performance/

Also, please share your System Information as Lightroom reports it. In Lightroom click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste into a reply. 1st line down to just past plug-in info
