Can't move to develop tool or full frame images in catalogue without getting a Loading circle

Since yesterday afternoon I can not full view or view images in the develop tool with it freezing up with a loading cirle that doesn't stop and if I close Lightroom Classic I can not reopen it without restaring my computer. Is there anything I can try to fix this as I have a project I need to get done right away?

Are the images saved locally or on a server? If saved on a server, the network connection might have a problem.
