Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

Please do not  use the attach file option. Instead, use the insert Photo button to insert screen shots. Many members absolutely refuse to open attachments. It is a cyber security issue, thy do not trust attachments. It is also not efficient.

And, a fuller screen shot of your Library module, the entire screen, with Folders Panel visible, filmstrip visible, grid view, would be of more help.

LATEST

As GoldingD requested, please copy/paste the first 10 lines from the menu command Help > System Info. (Lots of people think they're on "the latest").

There have been a few reports of LR not being able to read HEIC files:

https://feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/lightroom-classic/lightroom-classic-93-heic-files-giver...

Several people have reported that doing Preferences > Performance > Camera Raw Cache Settings > Purge Cache fixes the problem.
