When I try to make a new catalog, the "create" button is greyed out and I am unable to select it.  I already double checked the folder permissions and I updated to the most recent version of Lightroom classic.  I also made sure that there is plenty of space in the location I am creating the folder and I restarted my computer a bunch of times.  Please help!  Thank you in advance!

I just solved it.  After hours of troubleshooting this issue, Iit finally worked when I simply clicked around at a bunch of different locations for creating the catalog.  All of a sudden, the "create" button appeared again and I was able to create the catalog in the location that I was originally trying to make it in.  So frustrating that it took this long and that the solution was so obscure.

Most likely you tried to create the catalog at a location that is off-limits to Lightroom Classic. MacOS would then have stopped it.
