Cannot drag photos from Lightroom Classic to Photoshop

Hi everyone,

I have just watched Ben Willmore's lab at MAX regarding the LrC and PS integration.

He is dragging photos from LrC directly into PS as a smart object or linked smart object.

On my setting (LrC and PS at latest update) and Windows 10 Ver 2004, I cannot drag photos outside LrC.

Can anybody help?

Thank you very much!

Karl

As far as I know there's no drag-&-drop functionality between LR and PS.

You have to go via the menue Photo - Edit in Photoshop

I believe that what you saw works on Mac computers only.

Mac only feature. Windows doesn't have the APIs to support it

On Windows, Adobe have chosen not to implement the drag operation from Lightroom. Had they done so, drag and drop would work with Photoshop or any other app on the PC.

But he was using Mac.

All - thank you very much for your clarifying answers.

It is a pity that Adobe has decided not implement this feature on Windows as well.
