Cannot import a big catalog into another one.

Hello! Hope someone could help here?

I'm having an issue importing a catalog (named B, 300.000 pictures, 2Go) into another one (named A, 100.000 pictures, 1Go). I have optimized both catalog before the operation. From cat.A I can import some other catalog, smaller. From cat.B, I can import other catalog, including cat.A. But I cannot import cat.B from cat.A.

It's giving me the windows where to choose the folders to be imported. I click 'Import'. And then nothing happens, it goes back to LR Cat.A, import windows just disappear, no smaller windows with the import process is running anywhere.  

Hypothesis: cat. B is maybe too big to be imported ? But then, why isn't there any warning prompted?

Technical notes: Both catalogs are on the same SSD, internal,read and write permissions, also running the MAC OS. Pictures are on another 8To HDD, internal. Using LR8.2.1.

Cat B can also be corrupted somehow.

You could try to export Cat B as a new catalog (Cat C) and then import Cat C to Cat A.

thank you, but I already tried.
But, update of today: I exported sub catalog of 70.000 pic each and it
worked for the 3 first batches! but one went wrong: cannot import from this
catalog, unknown error. It s probably due to the lack of space in my hdd. I
ll try again with more space.
